Marryly in Thailand

Our team in Thailand is smaller than in the Philippines and the search runs more slowly, which is something we say at the consultation rather than later.

Part of our Southeast Asia search.

Relationship context

This page explains how Marryly works in Thailand, and where the process differs from our longer-established work elsewhere in the region.

TODO(content): commission this section from the country lead. The most useful thing it can cover is how a courtship works when the two people involved share little language at the start, and what that means for pacing. Write about the practical situation, not about national character.

Travel and practicalities

TODO(content): describe travel planning for this country, including how first visits are usually structured and how much time clients are advised to allow. Entry and residence requirements must be verified against a current official source at the time of publication.

Safety and vetting

The vetting standard is the same everywhere we work: an in-person meeting with the local team, confirmed identity, and a direct conversation about intention. TODO(content): confirm with the operations lead which parts of this differ in Thailand, if any, and describe them plainly.

How Marryly works in Thailand

The stages are the same as everywhere else. These are the parts that are specific to this country.

Language support from the first conversation

Where a shared language is limited, interpretation is arranged for early conversations. We do not leave two people to work it out with an app.

Fewer introductions, more preparation

A smaller network means fewer introductions. The time is spent preparing each one properly rather than increasing the number.

Longer first visits

TODO(content): describe the recommended shape of a first visit here and why it differs from other countries in the region.

Guidance afterwards

TODO(content): describe post-introduction guidance, written by the client advisory team.

Frequently asked questions

Is the process in Thailand the same as in the Philippines?
The vetting standard and the consultation are the same. The pace differs: our network in Thailand is smaller, so introductions are less frequent and language support is arranged from the first conversation onward.
Will Marryly send me candidate details before an introduction?
No. Candidate information is never sent out, and no complete candidate record ever reaches this website. Your matchmaker discusses a proposed introduction with you directly.
