How it works

Five stages, and what actually happens in each

The sequence never changes. What changes is how long each stage takes, and that depends on you as much as on us.

The stages

  1. Stage 1: Private consultation

    A confidential conversation about what you are looking for and whether a search is realistic.

    Your matchmaker asks about intentions, circumstances, timing and how much of yourself you can give to the process. Nobody is shown to you at this stage. If Marryly is not the right fit, you will be told so here rather than later.

  2. Stage 2: Active search

    The search team works to your brief across the regions agreed with you.

    Searching is done by people, not by a filter. TODO(content): describe how a brief is turned into a search plan, written by the operations lead.

  3. Stage 3: Vetting

    Anyone considered is met in person, with identity and intention confirmed.

    Vetting happens before you hear a name. It is carried out by the local team in the country concerned, and it is the reason our searches take the time they do.

  4. Stage 4: Introduction

    One introduction at a time, once both people have agreed to it.

    Both people are told about each other by their matchmaker and both must agree before anything is arranged. Either can decline, at any point, without explanation.

  5. Stage 5: Relationship guidance

    Support continues through the early months, for both people.

What we ask of you

Honesty at the consultation, realistic availability to travel, and a willingness to say clearly when something is not right. A search works when both sides can be direct.

Frequently asked questions

Will I be shown profiles of candidates?
No. Marryly does not publish candidate profiles and there is no catalogue to browse. Your matchmaker discusses a proposed introduction with you individually, once both people have agreed.
How long does a search take?
It depends on what you are looking for, the region and how often you can travel. Your matchmaker gives you a realistic estimate at the consultation rather than a figure quoted in advance.
What does it cost?
Fees depend on the search and are discussed during the consultation, once it is clear what the work would involve. We do not publish a price list or a comparison table.
Can I decline an introduction?
Yes, at any point and without giving a reason. So can the other person. Declining is a normal part of the process, not a failure of it.
